THEATER-DANCE

Theater-Dance is a monument to hard economic times. Or maybe we're just discouraging students from enrolling in Theater-Dance classes. Perhaps it's a good idea.

While the old Snidecor Hall outlived it usefulness (and ability to withstand earthquakes) its eye-pleasing red roof tiles and "Gaucho-block" walls are nowhere to be found.

At least the Mesa Parking Structure was enhanced with attractive roof details. Too bad this building can withstand earthquakes.

In comparison, the older Theater-Dance Building still maintains its lofty grandeur. Mature landscaping (not to mention its location) add to its attractiveness.

The only interior (or semi-interior) corrdor to the newer Theater-Dance wing is clean but stark.

University of Concrete, Santa Barbara.

Restrooms are well located and kept very clean. A vistor's delight.
Harsh. Uninteresting.
Home away from home or prison away from prison.
Ouch. It hurts just to look at it.
